ABOUT FESTIVAL & CONCERT
Can I bring a bag into the Festival?
For everyone's safety the bag policy this year is as follows:
- Any bag larger than 4.5'' x 6.5'' will need to be CLEAR.
- CLEAR bags may be no larger than 12'' high, 12'' wide, and 6'' deep.
- Bags larger than 12'' x 12'' x 6'' are not permitted inside Festival grounds.
- All bags and belongings being brought onto Festival grounds are subject to search.
What items are prohibited?
Prohibited Items in the festival are:
- Weapons of any kind including firearms and self-defense tools, including weapon facsimiles or toys resembling weapons of any kind
- Illegal substances of any kind
- Fireworks and/or any type of explosive
- Outside food and beverage of any kind (empty water bottles are allowed)
- Animals of any kind
- Professional photographers or photography equipment without proper credentials. Only official Utah Pride Festival photographers are permitted to bring professional equipment.
- Sound amplification equipment of any kind
- Coolers or ice chests
- Camping chairs, blankets or umbrellas
- Drones or any unmanned aircraft system of any kind
- Laser pointers, hula hoops, poi balls, throwing toys
- Glass or glass containers, boda bags, Camelbak, etc.
- Skateboards, in-line skates, hoverboards, one wheels, scooters, bikes
- Posters, banners or signage of any kind
Are strollers allowed?
There are no restrictions on strollers. However they are subject to search.
Are dogs allowed?
Dogs are not allowed at festival grounds. Service dogs will be accepted, if they are able to perform their service, walk without a stroller, and wear a service vest harness.
What ages are allowed at Pride Events?
Most Pride events are age inclusive - Interfaith Service, March and Rally, Loud and Queer Opening Concert, Festival, and Parade. Events that have age restrictions are Utah Pride Live (21+), Youth Pride (14-20), and Drag Brunch (21+).
Can I buy a ticket at the door?
Yes! We accept cash and credit card payments.
How much are same-day tickets?
Festival tickets bought at the festival grounds or online in the day of the festival cost $30 for adults, $15 for kids 3-12, seniors 65+ and military.
Opening Concert tickets are $50.
Do kids under 3 years old have to pay?
No, Festival and Concert are free for children under 3.
How many entrance points are there and where?
This year there is only one entrance point to the Festival, on the East side of Library Square. There are many exit points. You can find them signaled as red arrows on this map.
What is the best way to get to the Festival?
Parking is limited at Utah Pride events. Everyone is encouraged to take advantage of UTA's free rides. By showing your event ticket, you will be allowed to ride Trax and bus for free! UTA has many transit options to get you to the Loud & Queer Concert, and the Pride Parade and Festival: TRAX, BUS (many bus routes including 1, 2, 4, 200, 205, 209, 220 and more serve downtown SLC and can get you to the Festival with just a short walk), FrontRunner (NO SERVICE ON SUNDAY)

Is the parade free?
YES! The parade is free, except if you’d like to see it from the grandstand, in which case you’ll need a “Total Experience Pass”.
As a person who experiences anxiety or is neurodivergent, is there a place at the festival to calm down and then return to the party?
We understand that large events can sometimes become overwhelming, causing anxiety, panic attacks, or negative reactions to sensory challenges. That's why we have created a dedicated calming space just for you. Whether you need a moment of peace, a place to relax and gather your thoughts, or support during a difficult moment, our calming space is here to provide a safe and comfortable environment. It is in the Main Library, Lower Level, Room C. Follow the signs after using the festival exit close to the main entrance to the library on Library Square.
Take a deep breath, let go of stress, and allow yourself to find balance in this dedicated space. Our calming space is open and accessible to all festival attendees. Remember, there is no shame in seeking respite when you need it. Your well-being matters to us.
Look out for signs pointing you to the calming space, and our friendly staff will be more than happy to guide you. We want you to have the best possible experience at our festival, and we're committed to providing a supportive environment for all. Take care of yourself and know that we're here to support you. Calming Space is open 12:45 to 6 on Saturday and Noon to 5 on Sunday. If you need help locating the Calming Space, please ask any of our Ambassadors to assist you.

Will there be ASL interpreters at the concerts?
Attention festival goers! We are thrilled to announce that we have made our main stage even more inclusive and accessible this year. In our commitment to creating an inclusive environment, we have assigned American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters to the main stage.
No matter where you are in the crowd, you'll be able to enjoy the performances with full accessibility. Our dedicated ASL interpreters will be positioned prominently on stage, ensuring that every word, lyric, and announcement is beautifully conveyed in sign language. We want you or someone you know to witness the magic of the festival unfold through both sound and sign.
We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to fully engage in the festival experience, regardless of their hearing abilities. By providing ASL interpretation at the main stage, we hope to enhance the enjoyment for our deaf and hard-of-hearing attendees, fostering a sense of belonging and ensuring that everyone can participate and connect with the performances on a deeper level.

Does the festival provide a drop off area, ADA entrance and ramp access for people using wheelchairs?
Join us at the Pride Festival, where inclusivity and accessibility take center stage! We are proud to provide a memorable experience for all attendees by offering physical accommodations that are ADA compliant. From the moment you arrive, you'll find our festival grounds thoughtfully designed with accessibility in mind.
We have a designated drop-off area and a special entrance on 500 South for all festival goers with accessibility needs. This clearly marked drop-off and entrance is on the east side of The Leonardo.
Navigating Pride is a breeze, thanks to wide pathways and ramps that provide easy access for individuals with wheelchairs or other mobility devices. Our stage is equipped with wheelchair-accessible viewing areas, ensuring that everyone can enjoy the performances up close.
Restrooms are conveniently located on the festival site, and we have ensured that they are fully accessible with spacious stalls and grab bars. Additionally, our volunteer staff will be available to assist you throughout the event, ensuring a seamless experience for all.
